Take a hike on the beautiful Sunshine Coast! The region offers some awesome walking tracks and trails, here’s just a few of the Sunshine Coast walks on offer.

Kondalilla Falls Circuit
Kondalilla National Park
Approximate time: 90mins
This 4.7km track, with over 300 stairs, starts at the Kondalilla Falls Car park and descends into lush rainforest to the valley below. At the base of the falls you’ll enjoy the best  views of this impressive 90m waterfall, before coming back up again. This Grade 3 track has short steep hills and many steps, a reasonable level of fitness is required.

Mt Ngungun
Glass House Mountains
Approximate time: 2hrs
The Mount Ngungun summit walking track is a 2.8km return trail that begins in open forest and offers stunning views of the Glass House Mountains and coast  from the summit. This Note that this Grade 4 level track passes close to cliff edges and requires supportive footwear and a moderate level of fitness. It’s recommended to avoid the track in wet weather conditions.

Mount Coolum Walk

Approximate time: 75mins
Be rewarded with incredible panoramic views from the top of this ancient volcanic dome.  The 1.6km track starts with a nice shaded stroll through the native bushland and forest in the first section of the hike, before the path becomes quite steep as it traverses the rock face. This is a Grade 4 level track with a moderate level of fitness required.

Fig Tree Walk
Kenilworth
Approximate time: 45mins
This Grade 1 walk takes an easy 780 metre circuit through lush rainforest with towering Moreton Bay fig trees and other native species. The pathed pathway and boardwalk are suitable for the whole family.

Dularcha Forest Tunnel
Landsborough
Approximate time: 2hrs
A favourite with families, this Grade 1, 3.4km one way path is suitable for walkers, bikes and even horses. The Dularcha Tunnel is a heritage listed 93.5 metre-long curved tunnel and one of only two tunnels along the old narrow-gauge North Coast Line between Brisbane and Gympie.

Gardners Falls

Approximate time: 10mins
Short and sweet this Grade 1 stroll takes just 10 minutes and enjoys great views of the cascading falls and is a popular picnic spot.

Buderim Forest Waterfall

Approximate time: 15-30mins
Buderim Falls, also known as Serenity Falls, can be accessed via two paths from either Lindsey Road or Quorn Close.
From Harry’s Lane off Lindsey Road, there is a stroller and wheelchair accessible 600m long elevated boardwalk through beautiful sub-tropical rainforest. This walkway does end partway to the falls and you will then need to continue over more rugged terrain to the base of the waterfalls. This section of the path isn’t wheelchair or stroller suitable.
From Quorn Close, there is a steep 350m bush track that leads down to the top of the waterfalls. It’s a quick walk but a moderate level of fitness is required to navigate the numerous stairs on this path.

Noosa National Park Coastal Walk

Enjoy the spectacular coastline as you discover hidden coves and sparkling beaches along this Grade 4 10.8km return track.  It’s an out-and-back walk so you can also tailor the distance to suit your fitness level and time.

As with all hikes, it’s recommended to go prepared including suitable walking shoes, drinking water and sun protection, and to check the conditions and any park alerts before you hike. You can find further hikes and planning information here.
